Before you book a consultation, please read this information, which tells you what astrology can and cannot do. It helps you to understand what my role is and what you’re paying for.

Astrology is not a science and cannot provide information that meets scientific standards. While astrology uses rigorous techniques and methods, these are not scientifically recognised under English law (or in many other jurisdictions).

Astrology is better understood as a practical divinatory tool with an ancient history: its workings essentially belong to mysticism, to causes and effects we do not rationally comprehend.

While astrology is used by millions of people, and by many celebrities and leaders, it cannot offer certainties and guarantees.

It instead provides insights into you and your life which may be understood subjectively: only you can determine whether an astrological session works for you, and this requires your active participation.

At no stage should astrology take over your life or responsibility for your decisions. Astrology will supply you with information and it is for you to decide how to use it. Its insights, based on observation and precedent over time, are intended as food for thought, not as a substitute for your own essential critical judgement.

This is also true of the forecast: future trends are identified, sometimes within time frames, but in what form these will surface in your life and when precisely remains to be seen.

The fee is payment for the work done in analysing your chart and not for guaranteeing outcomes.

1. These terms and conditions apply to the supply of services by Sophia James Astrology to you / your business.
2. Sophia James Astrology is a trading name of Sophia James.
3. No variation to these terms and conditions shall apply unless agreed in writing.
4. For consultation services purchased online via Sophia James Astrology’s website you will complete a booking order form and Sophia James Astrology will send a payment link or information on how to pay. The agreement is made when payment is received.
5. Details of the services, including timescales and prices, are as set out on the website.
6. Any alterations to the services to be provided must be agreed by Sophia James Astrology in writing.
7. If any additional services are provided at your request, then the current prices set out on Sophia James Astrology’s website will apply.
8. Payment for consultation services must be made in advance of the consultation taking place.
9. Once a time and date for the consultation has been agreed, cancellation charges apply.
10. If the consultation is cancelled by you with more than 48 hours notice, the consultation will normally be rearranged at a mutually convenient time at no additional charge.
11. If less than 48 hours notice is given and the consultation is rearranged, Sophia James Astrology is entitled to charge an additional consultation fee of 25%.
12. If the consultation is cancelled by you with less than 48 hours notice and is not rearranged, Sophia James Astrology is entitled to retain the fees paid in full. The fees or part of them may be refunded at Sophia James Astrology’s discretion.
13. Sophia James Astrology is entitled to cancel a consultation at any time, without providing a reason. If so any fees will be refunded in full.
14. Interest is payable at 2% per month on any amounts which are unpaid 14 days after the due date.
15. Sophia James Astrology provides astrological advice only and it is your responsibility to obtain any business or professional advice you consider appropriate.
16. Sophia James Astrology accepts no liability for any advice given.
17. The services are non transferable and cannot be transferred or assigned by you to any other person or business without the written agreement of Sophia James Astrology.

19. Notices must be given in writing, either by post or email.
20. These terms comprise the entire agreement and no verbal or other representations shall be incorporated.
21. Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control and including those due to fire, flood, power failures or industrial action.
22. If any condition (or part) is unenforceable, the remaining conditions (or part) shall remain enforceable.
23. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
